St. Lamberti is a Roman Catholic church in the center of Münster (Westphalia). It was built from 1375, financed by local merchants, as a market and civic church and forms the northern end of the Prinzipalmarkt. St. Lamberti is the most important sacred building of Westphalian late Gothic. It is named after Saint Lambert of Liège.

A special feature are three iron baskets attached to the tower. In 1536, the bodies of the three leaders of the Anabaptist kingdom of Münster Jan van Leiden, Bernd Krechting and Bernd Knipperdolling were displayed in them after they had been publicly tortured and executed in the square in front of the church.

From 9 p.m. to midnight (except on Tuesdays) a tower keeper – Martje Saljé since 2014 – blows a horn every half hour. The office has existed since 1379.

In addition to the cathedral, St. Lamberti is one of the largest churches in Münster. The first building of the church was built in the 10th century in front of the northeast gate of the old cathedral castle. There the settled merchants built their own chapel. Today's Lamberti Church has four previous buildings and is a predominantly late Gothic hall church from the 14th and 15th centuries, started in 1375.

The Töddenhoek restaurant in the city center is highly recommended. (Rothenburg 41, 48143 Munster)
