The 111 km long Traisental cycle path is one of the most popular cycle routes in the whole of the Mostviertel. The family and pilgrim cycle path leads from Traismauer through the Traisental-Danube wine region via St. Pölten, Lilienfeld and St. Aegyd am Neuwalde to Mariazell.

Marina Traismauer is a flood-proof marina on the Danube, located between the Altenwörth and Melk power plants. The nearby Danube Restaurant Traismauer invites visitors to enjoy a relaxing break with a view of the harbor.

Here, two of Austria's most popular cycling routes converge: the Traisental Cycle Path and the Danube Cycle Path. A direct connection between the two routes exists at the harbor, making Traismauer an ideal hub for cyclists. The section of the Traisental Cycle Path heading towards the Danube is particularly popular with leisurely cyclists.

The two most used cycle paths in Lower Austria, the Danube Cycle Path and the Traisental Cycle Path, meet here, but numerous local cycle paths also pass by here, namely the Weinberg Cycle Path, the Tullnerfeld Cycle Path and a variant of the Garden Tour.
