In the 1930s, three buildings were built on Marchkinkele to accommodate border guards. A few years ago this was bought by private individuals who are now expanding the building into a refuge for hikers and mountain bikers. Since 2021 you can eat delicious traditional cuisine at lofty heights and stay here too.
