Tips
In the 1930s, three buildings were built on Marchkinkele to accommodate border guards. A few years ago this was bought by private individuals who are now expanding the building into a refuge for hikers and mountain bikers. Since 2021 you can eat delicious traditional cuisine at lofty heights and stay here too.

From the East Tyrolean border mountain Marchkinkele - Cornetto di Confine, also spelled Marchginggele, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains and the Sexten Dolomites.
