Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)
The Mendelpassstraße, the site of a daredevil car race in the 1930s, connects the South Tyrolean Überetsch with the Trentino Valle di Non and winds its way for 15 kilometers from Eppan (at 400 meters) to the pass at an altitude of 1,362 meters.
The view of the Dolomites from here is a treat. Particularly exciting for racing cyclists is the winding road on the South Tyrolean side. Here the road winds like a labyrinth through the rocks.

If you are already up, then definitely worth it to go to the Penegal, which are still several, steep altitude (short-term 20% slope) in addition, just right for mountain goats! And from there on top, there you have a wonderful view. Unfortunately, the small road 2016 was in poor condition, so be careful when leaving!
