From below, the view opens up in all four directions over the delightful Gehrenberg-Bodensee holiday landscape. But it is even more beautiful on the 100-year-old and 30-meter-high Gehrenberg tower. Here, Lake Constance is truly at your feet. In good weather it is an ideal vantage point for all (hobby) photographers who want to capture Lake Constance with an alpine panorama. The tower is also one of the highlights of the premium hiking trail “GuckinsLand” leading around the Gehrenberg. Attention: a little further on you come across the so-called “slide”, an almost 30-meter-deep abyss with a magnificent, because it is unobstructed, view of Lake Constance. You should definitely experience that!

Gehrenbergturm - Not (!) Recommended for people who are not afraid of heights. - Otherwise also in winter on sunny days, when the Lake Constance valley is filled with fog, a magnificent view of the Swiss + Austrian Alps.

Very nice way, mostly in the woods. Also recommended in the summer. However, in places very unfavorable: steep climbs with mud.

The Gehrenberg tower is really worth a recommendation. Tip: sometimes go to fog in Schussental and over Lake Constance on the tower. With a bit of luck you can get over the fog and then often have a great view of the Alps.

A 30 m high observation tower with a great view to Lake Constance and the Alps. Less suitable for hikers with vertigo.

Well worth it! People with a bit of respect for height have to pull themselves together a bit: D because the entire floor is made of slanted wooden planks. In good weather, the Prealps are visible. The tower is closed off at dusk

The tower is shut off at dawn. The entire floor consists of slanted wooden planks, which makes climbing even more demanding for people with respect for the height :)

You have a wonderful view of Lake Constance and the surrounding area. During the tour, the best parking options are near the Gehrenberg tower.

The 149 steps ascent to the tower are really worth it, because you then have a great view of the lake, Säntis and the surrounding area.

On the Wanderparkplatz above the Panzerwiese (located directly on the road from Markdorf to Allerheiligen) there is a nice barbecue with playground.

The Gehrenberg Tower is a 30 meter high observation tower made of steel lattice on Gehrenberg, a 754 m high mountain north of Markdorf, at a height of 704 m. The Gehrenberg Tower has some similarities with the Eiffel Tower, as it also has an arch between the feet has.
