Today's hall church was built on the site of the previous building built in 1611 between 1913 and 1914 according to a design by Ludwig Hofmann under the influence of the homeland movement. Some features were taken over from the previous building, such as the half-hipped roof and the octagonal turret crowned with a lantern, which houses the belfry and the tower clock. The portal, which comes from the previous building, is located in an arcade that is continued as a small side aisle.

The flat-roofed interior has L-shaped galleries. The church furnishings include the baroque pulpit from the previous building, a crucifix and the organ case from 1683. Today's organ with eight registers, 2 manuals and a pedal was built in 1914 by E. F. Walcker & Cie. built (see also: List of organs in the Lahn-Dill district). The glass paintings were made by the Ferdinand Müller Glass Painting Institute.

I was baptized and confirmed here, my parents were married and my daughter Emma was also baptized. :-)
