The Friedrich Wilhelm Canal, originally with 14 locks and 8 bridges, was the first connection between the Oder and the Spree and for over 200 years was the most important trade route between Wroclaw (Breslau) and Hamburg.

Insanely cool and close enough to touch. The place is easy to walk and drive on.The inside writing, carved in stone, is very legible.
