Nymphaea Fortress is a military museum located 17 km north of Komotini near the Greek-Bulgarian border. Nymphaea Fortress is famous today for the battle that took place on April 6-9, 1941 when the German army attacked and eventually conquered the fort. Since 2000, the Nymphaea Fortress has served as a military museum.
