As thanks for the miraculous healing, the woman had a large hole drilled in the spruce and a carved body of Christ (without a cross) attached, which was later replaced by a Mother of God. After the spruce was felled, a large cross and a prayer bench were set up there. In 1990 the cross remained upright in the Wiebke hurricane in the midst of fallen trees.
