Former landfill in Großziethen. When the weather is nice you can watch the television tower and the Teufelsberg. Sandy and steep climb over the north-eastern tip ... it is still tolerated to go up / go there.
At the beginning of the 1970s, household waste from West Berlin households was disposed of and stored there. The deal with the GDR at that time was garbage for money. The waste was delivered via a specially established border crossing north of the landfill. Around 4.5 million tons came together in Großziethen.
