I revisited this in dry summer, and it was a pleasure to ride. The "mud bath" section seems to have been filled with fresh gravel (see photo), so fingers crossed for the future.

Cycling

Long and narrow little track that has has good inclines and descents either way you are coming from. A good short cut through Whittlesford to Thriplow. It's stable enough to do on a road bike (but not recommended on your prize race bike) but still great fun after the rain if you like getting wet and muddy.
