The Vorderburg is privately owned - the passage to the Hinterburg is only permitted between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., otherwise the area is freely accessible. The access via the paved main path is also easy to use with racing bikes without suspension fork. The narrow path around the southern wall that I explored is sometimes very narrow and leads finally between private gardens - better not to drive through here. The view over Gerolstein from the north plateau of the rear castle is terrific.

Mountain biking

Nice opportunity for boxing in the area of the back castle with seating / relaxation lounger. The interesting walls invite you to linger and take photos, wonderful view of Gerolstein. The way downtown is flowy and makes Schbass.
