The Moncuni (Monte Cuneo) is a mountain in the Hautes-Alpes and 641 m high. It is located at the beginning of the Val Sangone between the municipalities of Avigliana, Reano and Trana. It is geographically part of the right moraine of Rivoli-Avigliana. Although of modest height, he has all the characteristics of alpine mountain-forming events, such as the more than 130 million years old Lherzolithe prove. The moraine came later. The summit is an excellent lookout mountain.

Peak not very high but with a panoramic view that sweeps 360 ° over the Val Sangone, Val di Susa, the Turin area and the lakes of Avigliana. There are various possibilities to reach it but given the modest altitude (641m) the difference in altitude is not much from wherever you start.

Recommended itinerary to do in late autumn or winter.
Excellent area especially for MTB lovers.
Be careful not to get lost in the dense network of paths present, especially in the valley area above Reano / Buttigliera / Avigliana.
