Tips

A well-developed hiking trail leads parallel to the gently rippling Maisinger Bach through the wild and romantic gorge. The Maisinger Gorge is densely forested and enchants you with rustic nature and exciting rock walls.

Passing the waterworks, the valley quickly narrows and the trees become denser. In the Maisinger Gorge, a varied path leads directly along the stream. The near-natural stream is crossed several times and invites you to jump into the refreshing water on warm summer days. Also very nice in autumn when the ground is covered with red shimmering leaves.

Park at the STA waterworks, or at the end of the STA, in the direction of the WM branch off to the right.
Only to Maising run (even with a little bigger children feasible: stream, forest ...).
Stop there u. back. Restaurant on Maisinger See also pfundig, but especially on weekends often very crowded.

If you value the solitude, then make this tour during the week.

Great with the MTB! From Pasing the Würm to Starnberg and then the Maisinger gorge up to Andechs and Retour.

Very nice and quiet, there is something mystically atmospheric when you wander through on a rainy autumn day.

Corona-compatible walking path along the Maisinger Bach on the right bank of the river (in the direction of flow). The path has a gravel surface and is pleasant to walk. It also leads through the "gorge". Here the brook has dug itself into the rock.
In addition to the wide path, there are sections of narrow paths directly on the banks of the stream. Very nice!

On an autumn Sunday with sunshine in this section was too much for my taste. Also not suitable for dogs, as many families, bike riders and strollers are on the way and the dog should run better leashed.

This hike is recommended in the early morning or workdays. At the weekend, this route is, in good weather, the most crowded

The gorge is unfortunately becoming more and more a racetrack for MTB riders. Especially on weekends it is uncomfortable to hike here. I therefore welcome the current initiative to block this for cyclists. Unfortunately, everyone has to suffer when a minority simply does not care.

Pick out "bad" weather or daytime blinds - then you can enjoy the way.

There are several paths parallel to the stream.
We partially avoided the Sunday plowers.
    And discovered such beautiful paths.

The path through the Maisinger Gorge is a well-developed dirt road. Technically absolutely easy to run. The gorge itself is very scenic and you don't meet many people during the week.

An enjoyable hike in every season. But there is a lot going on here on nice days.

Bizarre rock formations and a picturesque flowing Maisinger Bach make the Maisinger Gorge really worth seeing. But you should be prepared for a lot of traffic even in bad weather, the corner is a small tourist magnet.

A great destination and also passable in winter with a children's sledge. Also suitable for prams.

A very nice piece of the Munich Way of St. James, on the way to Andechs Monastery. It is wonderful to hike through the gorge.
