Feeling pleasantly more pleasant is the ascent from Ober-Beerbach to Frankenstein and then down towards Eberstadt. On a clear day you will be rewarded with a view to the Taunus. Refreshment possible, public toilets and museum entrance to the castle ruins against donation.

It's almost 3 km up to Frankenstein Castle via beautiful, winding roads. Some pictures of the highlights show this very nicely. The castle is at an altitude of approx. 380m, which means that the ramps are a bit steeper on the driveway. The maximum incline percentage is a little over 13%, but can be driven comfortably thanks to the very good asphalt. If you still work up a sweat, you can cool off in the shade of the trees along the roadside. The journey through the Mühltal is a bit stressful. During the week, many cars and trucks meander through at speeds of 70/100. Nevertheless, the climb to Burg-Frankenstein is one of the best climbs in the Odenwald, is visually a feast for the eyes and definitely worth a trip! 👍😬

Once you have reached the junction to Frankenstein, great tour section. The Odenwald Alp d'Huez is winding and a highlight for the racing bike tour.
