No matter which direction you approach Liemehna from, you can see the over 800-year-old church from afar. The old foundation walls and the massive tower indicate that it was built in the Romanesque period. The oldest date indicating the construction of the Liemehna church can be found on a stone in the Romanesque foundation walls: 1209.
