I passed this cross on a visit to the southern dike field. I do not know whether it should represent a weather cross or religious cross.
Hikers who rested there explained to me that this cross had to be removed during GDR times and was set up in a similar form on the Hessian side. After reunification, a "gold man" (presumably the same person who designed the edging of the Blue Lagoon) would have made this cross and put it back in its original place.translated by
