At the South end of the perfect sand crescent formed by the spit, a narrow channel remains the opening through which the Bodega Bay lagoon water rises and falls with the tides, and flows into the Pacific. Jetties protect the shipping Chanel used by fishing and recreational boats. Bodega head is at the opposite side of Campbell Cove. Great viewpoint all along the soft white sandy beach.
