The very beautiful New Mexico State Capitol in Santa Fe was modeled on an Indian ceremony site and is very different from the other Capitols in the USA. The building has 4 levels, one of which is under the floor. It is decorated with travertine marble, turquoise mosaics with copper and brass. There is a large garden around the State House with over 100 different types of plants.
