"The Beeckerwerther bridge spans between the Duisburg districts of Beeckerwerth and Baerl the Rhine." The bridge is 1030 m long, has three lanes for each lane, and a cycle and pedestrian path on the downstream side , the Emscherschnellweg, and is therefore also called the Rhine Bridge Emscherschnellweg.
The plan approval decision for the highway route took place in June 1980. This was confirmed by the OVG Münster at the end of 1985 and had legal force at the end of June 1986. The bridge was built between July 1986 and October 1990 at 134 million DM construction costs. "
