Already before the First World War there was a hiking trail here, but it had been forgotten and was no longer maintained. For years, the path grew wild, in 2006 it was reopened, at one of the two large waterfalls, the gorge was covered with a bridge.

Great natural spectacle, how the glacier water has made its way to the valley over millions of years.

The Burkhard Gorge is a real insider tip, it is hardly advertised and is extremely attractive - also free of charge.

It is worth going through the gorge in both directions.

In addition to the impressive river, which roars into the valley with a roar, there is a lot of nature to discover on the very varied path (small caves, striking rocks, etc.). The path paved with stone slabs is also impressive
