This is one of three southern termini of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT) and the most popular. The closest town is Lordsburg. It is located at the Mexican border and the Crazy Cook Monument is the starting point of the 3,100 mile CDT to Canada. You will find a small pavilion that provides some shade.

If you don´t have anybody to drive you here, you can pay $120 and take the Continental Divide Coalition shuttle. The shuttle runs on a set schedule from March 29 through May 13 each year. Reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance. Find some information here: continentaldividetrail.org/southern-terminus-shuttle

A service for water caches between the Mexican border and Lordsburg is included as part of your shuttle fee. Each hiker is allotted 2 gallons of water per cache. Since there are no natural water sources on this stretch, I highly recommend to book this service.
