Since January 1, 2015, Sternenberg has officially been part of the Bauma community. The name Sternenberg has thus disappeared from the community name, but remains for the hamlet that the village is now. Between Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015, the 3 town signs with only "Sternenberg" on them were removed. It is still unknown today whether they were homesick Sternenberger or rarity hunters, the new town signs now read "Sternenberg (Bauma)". The Gasthaus Sternen in Sternenberg was destroyed by fire in December 2016. The restaurant is known from the Swiss film “Sternenberg” with Mathias Gnädinger, which is well worth seeing. - In April 2020, the stars will look stately from the outside as they used to with the beautiful shingles and gutters made of copper. The reopening is to be celebrated at the end of June 2020.
