The Brockenweg Schanze is used every year by the Braunlage winter sports club for ski jumping competitions. But be careful of a too rapid valley run down from the Wurmberg! The Brockenstrasse is often closed by a barrier in front of the ski jump, all year round. But you can bypass it to the side, stop only at a moderate pace😉.

Mountain biking

Bike flying is a mountain bike sport and took place (or takes place) in Oberhof and on the Brockenweg ski jump in Braunlage, the so-called 2-hill touring tour. In 2010, the event took place in BRL in June. (Video at Since one sponsor of the event jumped off in 2011, there is currently no bike flying.
The traditional spring ski jumping on mats takes place on 29.4.2018 and the open national championships on 29.9.2018.
