There are three small climbs on quiet roads that lead to this viewpoint - all are enough to get the heart and lungs going but not long enough, or steep enough to be a problem to anyone.

The view itself is worth the effort - looking over the West Lancashire Plain towards the Mersey Estuary and Irish Sea. Liverpool City Centre and the docks can be seen, and, on a clear day, Wales and Snowdonia.
