Omaha Beach Museum (June 6, 1944)

You don't have to go into the museum to see some of the war machines. Worth the detour.

the museum has a large collection of uniforms, personal items, weapons and vehicles. Numerous reconstructions of American and German scenes plunge you into the heart of the history of the D-Day landings and the daily life of all these men who came for our freedom. A rich collection of authentic objects, weapons, uniforms, vehicles, period documents, superb archive photos, explanatory texts, thematic panels represent all phases of the occupation period until Landing. During the visit, an archive film accompanied by testimonies from American veterans clearly explains the D-Day landings on Omaha and Pointe du Hoc.
