The Bockerl bike path runs along the former route of the Hallertauer Lokalbahn, popularly known as the "Hallertauer Bockerl". The local railway was built between 1893 and 1907 and ran from Wolnzach to Enzelhausen and from there to Mainburg and Langenbach, where the connection to the Munich - Landshut route was given. Today, only a small section of the railway is still in operation between Langenbach and Anglberg, through which the Anglberg power station is supplied with hard coal.
