Cycling
This tomb was built in the Neolithic period (3000 to 1800 BC).
It consists of a rectangular mound edged with boulders.
During investigations in 1904, the remains of a burial chamber were found on the eastern side. In the vernacular, such systems are referred to as "giant beds".
At the northern end of the tomb is a "guardian stone" weighing about 10 tons.
Megalithic tombs are the oldest archaeological monuments still visible above ground in northern
of Germany and important sources for research into the Stone Age culture periods.
