The Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen is located on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg and shows archaeological finds and replicas of stilt villages from the Stone and Bronze Ages. It consists of 23 stilt houses, a museum building and a research institute. The museum is known as one of the largest open-air museums in Europe and attracts more than 300,000 visitors annually. Pile dwellings are remains of Stone and Bronze Age settlements and are of great archaeological interest. In 2011, more than 2000 sites of pile dwellings in lakes and moors in Europe were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The excellently preserved pile dwellings give an insight into the life of the people 7000 years ago.

A wonderfully beautiful place and something for romantics 😊.
The open-air museum is very modern, adults pay €12 and children €8.

The Pile Dwellings Museum in Unteruhldingen is definitely one of the "top three" travel destinations on Lake Constance. It shows life there thousands of years ago and is not only of national importance, but has even been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
