The church was almost completely destroyed in the great local fire of 1621. After that the church was rebuilt. In 1661 the church was rededicated. The churches in Jüchsen and Neubrunn are similar in shape and style. Both have a wooden barrel vault in the nave and a stone star vault in the chancel. The organ from 1836 from Römhild was originally housed in the sanctuary, but was moved to the upper gallery at the beginning of the 20th century. A spacious, bright sanctuary was created in which the newly installed window showing Jesus turning to the poor and oppressed comes into its own.
The old seating arrangement is still clearly visible in the interior of the church. Under the pulpit there is still the closed stand in which the members of the manor in Jüchsen had their place.
