From 1925-27, the widow of the Düsseldorf tenant, Karl Kürten, had a private chapel with built-in apartment built according to the plans of the Cologne architect Eisenhaus, which is an important testimony to artistic creativity after the First World War, both because of its architecture and its partly high-quality furnishings.
The geometrically patterned colored glazing of the ship based on designs by Jan Thorn-Prikker represents the most artistically valuable jewelry, supplemented in 1936 by the choir windows of Prof. Wendling, Aachen. [1]

It rises on a rocky outcrop as a symbol of the village and the valley and was consecrated to St. Charles Borromeo in 1927. Some figures have been taken from the former chapel. [2]

The architects of the chapel were Eisenhauer & Ullmann (first names and dates of life are currently undetectable). [3]

Chapel is easy to reach by bike, lies in the shade, ideal for a break.
