The Forbes Mausoleum, designed by Archibald Elliot in 1816, is an imposing construction in the Greek Doric style. The mausoleum is located to the south east of Callendar House in a circular enclosure with a stone wall and surrounding ditch.

Forbes Mausoleum is a monument built in 1816 as the last resting place of Sir William Forbes (1743-1815). Designed in the classical style, the monument features 12 fluted Doric columns set on a round base. There's a Greek passage above the entrance. The monument is listed.

Fairly hidden in the trees, there are a couple of faint but muddy paths leading to the gate through the wall. Watch for broken glass all around the ground once up close.
