The castle ensemble, owned by the von Waldburg-Zeil family, consists of a former prince-bishop's hunting lodge with a hall of mirrors, as well as an inn and castle chapel. The St. Leonhard chapel, built in 1765, can be traced back to an originally Gothic chapel from the 14th century; frescoes have been preserved in the interior. The entire two-storey buildings with mansard roofs of the castle built by Johann Georg Specht from 1754 to 1757 are listed buildings. The client was the Prince-Bishop of Chiemsee and the canon of Salzburg and Basel, Count Franz Karl Eusebius of Waldburg-Friedberg and Trauchburg. The stucco ceiling in the Hall of Mirrors is by Joseph Anton Feuchtmayer and Johann Georg Dirr (1757).
