XX a. pr. the mill passed to Vėžaičiai manor. Its owner, Countess Marija Komarauskienė - Volmerienė, rented the mill. During the First World War, the mill burned down. Tenant Žilbergis in 1921 the mill was rebuilt. The residential part was delivered on the north side. 1934 the mill was bought by Jonas Samalius. 1938 the mill was modernized, the wooden water wheels were replaced by water turbines. A superstructure with a diesel engine was introduced to the west façade. Subsequent reconstruction of the building took place in 1959. A white silicate brick annex was presented on the east side. XX a. II p. electricity was introduced for milling. The mill underwent not only a grinding process but also carving of chips. XX a. pb. work was stopped, the mill was left unattended. In 2002, when the owners changed, architectural, engineering and geological surveys were carried out, and according to the prepared project, the building management works were started.
