Soazza is a jewel in Misox with a wonderfully preserved village center. Remote from the cantonal road, the terraced village guarantees a special level of peace and quiet. The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the beautiful parish church of San Martino, which stands on a rocky outcrop overlooking the area.

      Soazza, Mesocco
Soazza (German obsolete Sowaz or Zauatz) is a municipality in the Moesa region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden
The village was first mentioned in 1203 under the then name Soaza. The community was already independent in 1359, but was ecclesiastically under the Collegiata of San Vittore GR for a long time; In 1626 it still had to pay tithes to them. In 1710 Soazza bought Alp Ingamba in the municipality of Lostallo for 1,000 thalers. From Soazza a path leads over the Forcola[6] to Chiavenna, which used to be very busy and brought traffic.

        Soazza
Soazza is located in the upper Mesolcina valley, on the right side of the Moesa. Its predominant characteristic is to be in a position away from the main routes of communication and therefore enjoy a lot of peace and quiet. The greatest attraction that can be offered to the visitor is undoubtedly the beautiful church of San Martino, located on a promontory overlooking the village. Inside the same, as well as several valuable artistic works, it is worth mentioning the "Vedani" organ, made very famous by the well-known organist Hannes Mayer. At the foot of the imposing staircase there is also the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, which completes this beautiful overall picture. Other buildings of architectural interest are the old hospice, once one of the Capuchin monks, completely restored two years ago, the church of San Rocco, the Casa a Marca, where interesting painting courses are organized, and the historic core of
