Only the locals know this biotope under the name Kakaobad.🌾🌿
It is said that there used to be only a "brown broth" in this pond, due to the red soil, which predominates mainly in Gorenzen. The Gorenzner thought it was great and bathed in it from time to time

To all those hiking the E11, I came from the direction of Karlstrauch and wanted to take the trail in this direction, as the E11 runs parallel to the Hagenbach stream here. Don't even try it, and don't think the trail will get better ;) I wandered around in the undergrowth for 5-10 minutes hoping it would get better, but it didn't, and I had to walk all the way back. I detoured the trail for the most part, which I would recommend to any E11 hiker! ;)
Believe me, it's better this way!

I didn't want to go the same way, so I took the hiking trail from the village of Gorenzen to the rest area. Everything was fine up to that point, but then... The path was pretty overgrown, there were trees lying in the way, and it was pretty muddy from all the rain. And I saw lots of wild boar tracks. What now?!? Go back about 1.5 kilometers, or just close your eyes and keep going. I'll be fine. I decided on the latter option and made it. I looked pretty dirty and had a few scratches on my arms and legs, but it was a pure adventure.
