Table of the field jury (seven) from Erlabrunn with a great view.

A wooden cross, which Raimund Steinmetz donated out of gratitude for his healing from cancer, has recently stood in the immediate vicinity of the so-called table of seven of the Erlabrunn field jury. Born in Leinacher, he was seriously ill in 2000 and therefore made a vow during a pilgrimage to Maria Buchen to donate a wayside shrine and a cross in the event of his recovery. Steinmetz overcame the disease and in 2007 first erected a Marien-wayside shrine in the Erlabrunn land consolidation area; In 2011, the now 73-year-old also fulfilled the second part of his vow and set up the said wooden cross on the Volkenberg. It was made by Ferdinand Münch from old wooden beams from Steimetz's parents' house in Leinach and contains a figure of Christ by a sculptor from Baden. Pastor Christoph Dzikowicz, who solemnly consecrated the cross in the corridor of the field jury, sees it as a living sign of deep trust in God.

Another special feature of the 2007 border crossing was the handover of a memorial stone next to the table of seven. Like the construction of the table and the pavilion, Raimund Steinmetz, as a member of the Erlabrunn Siebener, also initiated the erection of the memorial stone. On the red sandstone, the names of the deceased field jury members of the wine-growing community along with the dates of their voluntary work are immortalized on small metal plates.
