The exterior is rich in ceramic decoration, especially on the apse and the dome. Two large stone crosses are embedded in the masonry of the west side.
Inside, there are two layers of wall paintings. The older layer survives only in fragmentary form.
The north chapel is dedicated to Saint Nicholas and depicts scenes from his life.
The south chapel was originally a funerary chapel and contains depictions with eschatological (end-times) themes.
The church is now located in the middle of the local cemetery of Manolada.
