The origin of the hermitage is an old chapel documented from 1474. The current building is the result of an 18th century reconstruction in the popular Baroque style. The main façade features a semicircular arch with a circular oculus above it and a single-eye belfry bell tower. It consists of a single nave with added chapels and a head with a lower cover than that of the nave. In the body added to one end of the façade there is another circular oculus. The attached house is from the same period (1740), which would later become a farmhouse.

Church of Santa Cristina de Aro (Baix Empordà), in the province of Girona included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
Next to this building is the rectory of Sant Baldiri de Solius, also included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia.
Both buildings have been dated between the 17th and 18th centuries, although there is some historian who has dated the architectural complex to the 15th century.
