I was here today (08/09/2021) for the first time with the racing bike and was thrilled - the place actually fell a bit out of time and was really very atmospheric! Contrary to the recommendation, I still drove further south and was lucky: The unpaved road behind the town was probably freshly repaired, so that I could drive about 2 km without any problems until the tar came up again. After that there were two lanes made of relatively smooth concrete slabs that were very easy to drive for a while. Only shortly before the main road was there another 200-300m of gravel, but that was bearable. In “bad weather” you should really rather go back - at least with the racer. People with gravel bikes will probably have fun here, and just nail them through.

Very idyllic place on the Este with a mill, fish ponds, old forge and old trees (1000 year old oak).
Only a paved road leads into it. A ride through on the racing bike is therefore not possible, but the detour is worthwhile.
