Very nice castle on a cliff in Tenno with nice views on the valley. However, keep in mind that it’s private property & thus currently not accessible by public.

Tenno Castle was built at the end of the 12th century on a previous site. Initially, with its stone battlements and tough appearance, it served as a shelter for the community. Over time, numerous owners have used the castle as a strategic base.
Tenno Castle, Italian Castello di Tenno, was often besieged and attacked. As a result, it suffered a great deal of damage, which was repeatedly repaired or renewed. In addition, the respective owners continuously expanded the facility. The medieval appearance was only partially retained, so that numerous architectural styles from ancient to modern features are now combined and characterize today's appearance. In the 15th century up to the time of Napoleon, the castle fell back to the Principality of Trento after many owners. Bishops Hinderbach and Clesio also expanded the complex extensively and left their mark.
