Here the railway bridge crosses the Beste. The Beste is formed by the confluence of the Norderbebest and Süderbebeste north of Höltenklinken. After only 6 km it flows into the Trave in the center of Bad Oldesloe. Since 1992, the near-natural course of the stream has been restored and the renaturation of the lowlands has been promoted.
