The Klövensteen is the largest forest area in the Hamburg-Altona district. The Klövensteen has visibly changed over the past few decades. The originally high proportion of coniferous wood has been pushed back further and further, which can be seen in the large oak cultivated areas that arose after the storms of recent years. Those who live in this impressive natural landscape can be observed in the game reserve in the forest area. In addition, there is much more to discover in Klövensteen. In the Klövensteen game reserve, you can watch deer, roe deer and fawns, wild boars and freshlings, eagle owls and pheasants in their natural habitat. And sometimes very close, because some of the animals have become so tame that they can be hand-fed. There is food for the forest dwellers in the neighboring forest tavern. If you take some time, you can learn a lot about the animals, which you rarely get so close to in their natural environment. The game reserve is only a 20-minute walk from the Rissen S-Bahn station.
