The village is on a terrace on the right bank of the Calancasca River. In the lower part, in Molina, there is an artificial lake. Buseno also includes the hamlets of Fontanol de Sot, Fontanol de Sora, Giova, Molina and Aurel. The Maiensässen are located at San Carlo, at about 1200 meters above sea level. The parish church of SS. Pietro e Antonio abate, consecrated in 1483, was expanded in 1776 and restored between 1984 and 1994.
