The Viru moorland has one of the most accessible peat bogs in Estonia. It passes through the forest and moorlands typical of Lahemaa and is 3.5 km long, the length of the ring is 6 km. Moor plants, former sand dunes and heath forests are presented on the nature trail. A mule track leads through the moor and half way there is a lookout tower.
There are markers and signposts on the path.

In dry and sunny conditions, a fantastic path over a narrow boardwalk. Certainly very slippery when wet, if you slip you end up in the water or moor. Certainly too narrow for a stroller.
