Bike Touring Highlight
In the 18th century, Elector Clemens Wenzeslaus wanted to have an avenue modeled on the French model, and had his subjects in front on two hills, so that the avenue would also run horizontally. Until his people were fed up - which is why the road is not quite flat after all. What caused displeasure at the time is now protected as a natural monument. On the almost two-kilometer-long avenue grow well 200 years old linden - 620 in number! The Alpine panorama from here is unique.

The small detour from the Allgäu cycle route is well worth it. But it is better to turn off beforehand then there is not so much country road.
