The parish church of Waldburg was built at the beginning of the 13th century and mentioned in a document in 1220 and rebuilt at the end of the 14th century. The parish church of Waldburg is dedicated to St. Maria Magdalena.

The church is a single-nave, four-year church with a two-year choir. The late Gothic building has a ribbed vault and a tower on the west side.

Inside the church there are three remarkable late Gothic winged altars from 1517 from the workshop of Lienhard Krapfenbacher in the style of the Danube School: Wolfgang consecrated, the left side altar - Laurentius Altar or Redeemer Altar, dedicated to the Arch Martyr Laurentius.

The late Gothic branch church St. Peter with the Kalvarienbergkapelle is located in the district of Sankt Peter.
