Last autumn the bridge for the Scheibeseerundweg-Kühnicht cycle path was finally built, so I had to test it once. The approx. 25-30 year old cycle path is still reasonably flat up to the bridge, but after the bridge a true gravel stretch begins, root breaks on the belt almost completely to Kühnicht, narrow and partly covered by leaves and pine needles. I recommend the Scheibeseerundweg to the right via a small path to the P-Platz and further via the parking lot access to the country road. This continues right until after 150m a bike path begins, which in my opinion. meanwhile not leading to Kühn. However, I do not recommend going to the train station in Kühnicht, but at the junction on the left the road continues to Zeisig, and the Schmiedeweg via the railway and the old B96 and further to the right westwards parallel to the train to the train station. The route via Merzdorfer Str. And Seitewinkel is not recommended with a racing bike, the street and the footpath are made of old GDR concrete slabs.

The new bridge is already great. The old bike path also meanders nicely through the forest. Only the asphalt in the forest is showing its age and is overlooked by a mound of roots. But that's how I prefer to go to Hoyerswerda than over the new cycle path on the main road. It doesn't have any flair at all.
