One of the most beautiful vantage points in the Allgäu! To the north, the hilly foothills of the Alps spread out at your feet and to the south, the steep mountains tower dramatically over the Alpsee. But you only become aware of the dimensions when you see how tiny the famous Neuschwanstein Castle appears in front of the dramatic mountain backdrop.

The Füssen Calvary unites in a special way religion, nature and art (the Nazarene). The Calvary was built in the 19th century. Initiator was the then parish priest Johann Baptist Graf (1802-1862). Graf's religious life was in the tradition of Johann Michael Sailer and Christoph von Schmid. When Hohenschwangau Castle was renovated and redesigned, many painters found work in the castle and later in the design of the chapels.
