    Hiking

Beautiful waterfall in a remote area of the Grand Canyon. You can get here either by boat (Grand Canyon River permit needed) or hiking down from South Bass Trail. If you choose to take the Royal Arch Loop, you need excellent route finding skills and at least a 40 foot rope for the rappel. Hiking down the South Bass Trail directly out and back is much easier, but still strenuous. Water sources are scarce.

This hike is a challenging backcountry adventure for experienced canyon hikers. You will need to apply for a backcountry permit four month in advance at nps.gov/grca/planyourvisit/backcountry-permit.htm
